What's Wrong With You?
Many of us have great ideas of how we wanted things to be. And maybe, one of our reader is a wise man. But how come we often fail to share our thoughts? Is it because they were not interested with what we have said? Or our way of sharing unappealing?
Some of us will say maybe because I was boring. The others would comment maybe they were not interested. If all our hunches were right how come we still fail even if we continuously redo things. Do you want to know the answer? Bet you want it!
GreeQ offers you the why, what and how. Feel free to comment. We will appreciate.

How to Structure Any Presentation?
Hi there!
This article will help with your problem on creating the exact form for your report, thesis, storyboards and more. This is also the last topic that I will write for this concept as I move on to other topics.
__________________________________________
Many of us thought that when we make our reports we have to put everything. We are afraid that if we didn't do that no one will understand our reports. Ironically, the more that we put things together the more people don't understand it.

Show it All!
I remember one time when I was asked to teach about Endocrine System. I was freaking nervous of what I must place on my slides. So to cut the tension, I decided to put everything I know on my lecture. It turned out like thought salad. My students were all in limbo. Instead of learning, they just get so tangled in confusion.
I asked them what is wrong. And they told me that they were overwhelmed. "Overwhelmed of what?" I asked. They said overwhelmed with all the ideas and thoughts. And they further added that nothing seems to enter their minds.
And so in the next hours of my lecture, I changed my mode of teaching. And guess what they can't get enough of it.
____________________________________________________
I taught my lecture in a whole new way. In a way you are very much familiar. Can you still remember how it feels like when your mom or dad reads you a story? Well that is the same thing I did with my students. Any the funny thing was that they found my lecture really alive and kicking. What I've found out was that the human mind follows a certain structure. And that structure was primitive, but as powerful as any form of teaching techniques.
___________________________________________________
Follow it up always with an explanation of things. Make sure to keep it as brief and simple as possible. If ever you are to use complicated explanations, do it one portion at a time. Otherwise they'll get confuse.
At the end of any explanation, always do the following as part of your resolution:

The Story Structure
In a story there is three basic parts:
- Introduction
- Body
- Resolution
Follow it up always with an explanation of things. Make sure to keep it as brief and simple as possible. If ever you are to use complicated explanations, do it one portion at a time. Otherwise they'll get confuse.
At the end of any explanation, always do the following as part of your resolution:
- Sum things up with key points.
- Emphasize the importance of the concept.
- Ask your audience if there is anything unclear?
- Answer each question directly. Tip: When you answer question you can't understand always start with a common ground. In other words, rephrase the statement as to how you understand it and tell that to them.

How to Make Visuals for Presentations?
Hi There!
In this article I will share to you some misconceptions about visuals so that you won't be committing them in the future. Maybe in the past you have created such beautiful visuals but it gets lessa attention than it deserves. What is wrong? What is missing? What will make it really appealing?

Glamorous and Over-the-top
While most of us enjoys making our visuals really creative, some tries to make it really informative as much as they can. Before I use to place beautiful background them for my visuals like ocean, sunset, sky, and more. And to show mastery in my line of subject, I drown my visuals with all information I can put in. And maybe you have than the same thing before. Now the question is, "Why is it not effective enough to convey my message?" Is there something wrong? Did I make the wrong impression?

Make it Simple
Before I finished my first trimester as multimedia student, I need to make a defense paper about my proposal on automated speech recognition software. The requirement is pretty simple. I just need to complete the system life cycle. Within a week I am done with my paper with some minor revisions. Everything was just so perfect. Even my classmates told me I will nail this one for sure. And I believe on that notion too. My defense day then came. I was pretty confident that I'll get flat one for this one. So I turned on the screen of my laptop and access the presentation. I was really excited to boast my work. The first slide then flashed on the screen and on. Then my teacher told me just stop. I asked him why. Then he told me, "Can't you see your work was really fine but your presentation is too complicated. I can't even understand it. What is the use of listening? Next time do it in a friendly manner."
Darn. How come he can't understand it? Is he blind of some sort? Then at home I think things over and over. And realized something.

Avalanche of Boredom
I realized that my visual was like ancient carvings of some sort. If I will be in the position of my professor that time, it will feel as if I'm lost somewhere. Who would love to see complex drawings on the screen explaining an even complex concept. Complex plus complex equals misunderstanding. And who would enjoy a presentation hundred slides long? Even I would just want to run away. It's like a bad dream.
When we forget simplicity everything just becomes boring and unappealing.

Be Direct. Brief. And Simple.
The question is how to make sure our presentation is right? I have some tips to share:
- The Rule of Reduction. Can you show in lesser detail but maintaining the essence? For example you are too explain to a 10-year old how to go to the mall and get back home. You cannot throw to the child a hundred long presentation of landmarks in this case. Because if you do, the child will either get lost as early as now or just leave you. The good idea is to make it simple by selecting only the important things to remind the child. Never ever try to put things all together. It gets sloppy.
- The 3-point rule. I always use this one. I got this idea while I was reading through a program design book. This rule suggests you to draw three boxes. The first box represents the people involved. The middle box will be a word to decribe all steps to reach the goal (which is the third box). In this case there will be a direct relation creating a clear picture.
- Focal and Words. Remember to use as much as possible one picture per slide. Try to explain each picture one at a time. Do not mix them up. The text that comes per slide, I suggest, follow the 5-5 tip, that is, put no more than 5 lines per slide with each line no more than 5 words. But of course this is almost impossible. And too technical not unless it is a formal presentation. And so read on the next number.
- 3 Cues. People understands things like a story. It is easier to get the attention of your audience by drawing them into a story telling mode. How does this works? Pick three words that best describes a portion of what you want to show on your visuals. Then arrange them from the least appealing to the most. After which tell your story. For example, I am to show you that apple must be green rather than red. The words that I will use will be smart, delightful and natural. I arrange them in order: delightful, natural and smart. My pitch goes like this: Apple must be green because this color means DELIGHT. Isn't a good start to have an apple of this color? And the thing is that most apple our green in color. It means that you will be assure that there is less than 2% who have undergone treatment because they are natural. And NATURAL is pro health. Isn't that green a SMART choice?

How to Speak Clearly?`

Maybe once in your life you've asked yourself "What's wrong with my tongue?" You deliver your presentation as expected, but what made them misunderstood it? This topic will help you answer the questions "how must I say it?"
______________________________
Complicated means You're Smart?

Most of us thought that when someone speaks jargon he or she is the master of hid field. we admire them for saying such flowery words much like Shakespeare. The ironic part is that no matter how good they used words nothing seems to settle in our heads.
_____________________________
Complication Equals MisunderstandingI remember when I did my report on Windows Speech Recognition as part of my Program Design course. I've been through sleepless nights just to finish it, and spent dimes for coffee to keep me thinking. i prepare for it up to the finest detail. but when I started reporting, it's like the audience where in limbo. I can even red in their minds, "What the hell is he talking about?" Even my professor commented that he can't follow. I was really dismayed. everything was perfect except one. And that is my wording. No one can understand my report except me. The worst is that made me feel like someone with an alien tongue.
_____________________________
Complicated is Disaster

The night before my defense, I practiced really hard. And I am expecting to get appreciations, but then what I get was misunderstanding. The worst thing was that my professor asked me to stopped reporting, Maybe you have experienced the same thing before. I asked my teacher about it, and he said you need to be simple. "What you mean of simple?" I asked myself. For me that report was simple and I understand it all the way. How come they don't? The answer is that I tailored it only for myself not to them.
The common mistake of most if us is our desire to be great. And what we do is to play with our buckets of words. Remember that to be great you need to be understood. And how can you be understoood if you keep using words they can't understand. Now the dilemma is when we can say it is on its simplest.
________________________________
Simplicity is the BestTo know that it is simple, you have to ask yourself the five following questions (The Pentagon):
- Who are your audience?
- If your audience is on seventh grade will they understand you?
- If your seventh grader what words will you understand?
- Is the statement straight forward?
- If someone will sit in, will be understand what you are saying?
Questions 2 and 3 pertains to the seventh grade rule. As a general rule, you nee to treat your audience as seventh graders to have a firm ground in tailoring your presentation. This is to assure that everyone understands everything. Jargon are applicable only if you are hundred percent sure that everyone is of same level of education or higher. Make sure when you finish writing your presentations never forget to read again and ask questions 2 and 3.
Remember that retention lasts for only 10 minutes the most. In other words, don't go around the bushes of words. Take them on the center.
Question 5 is a very important question. If someone past by your room and hear you talking will he have quick idea of what you are saying? If yes, then, congratulations you made your presentation simple. direct and logical.
"You want change? Make it. Don't wait for it."

How to be Physically Prepared?
So this is my first online lesson I would like to share to all of you.
Why did you turn your page here? Is it because you are just curious? Or is it by accident? No matter what your reason, this blog will help you answer the question "How must I look?"
__________________________________________
WHAT IS LOOK?Most of us will define look as appearance much like how we style our hair, match our clothes, and put make-up on. But look is more than plain appearance, It also includes our mannerisms and body languages. And did you know that people likes you mostly by your body language.
__________________________________________
FOCUS IS LIMITING
Before when I was just new in this field, I do prepare a lot for occasions. For example, I go to the barbershop to have my hair cut, buy new slacks at the local department store, and even have a facial cleaning. And maybe you have done the same thing and even more. And I can remember a time wherein everything was just right but ended badly. Then I asked myself what was wrong with me? I mean I did all that was said in Physical Prep. After several days of thinking, I realized that I was just so focused with how I physically look, and neglected the other aspects of physical
preparation.
__________________________________________
WE NEED TO KNOW ALL WE NEED
What we must do is to try to know everything. Have you been invited to a party? Let's say you were invited to attend to a party tomorrow. The first thing that you'll do is to look for the best fitting dress. When you look for a dress, what do you look for? Do you only look for the prints? Or just pay attention to the color? Your answer may vary. But what is important is the product of you your matching skills. Is the dress matching with your shoes? Does it make me stand out? Is it to soggy? If you just focus to one aspect of your attire, most of the time it doesn't fit your perfect dress idea. But if you consider carefully the shoes, the ribbon, the tie, the cap, the belt, and more, you'll get the best dress fir your party. And that is the same thing when you prepare your appearance for any presentation. but how can you possibly know everything you need to know?

The thing is that we were taught to be physically appealing rather than physically prepared. I am not saying that it is not right to be appealing. But the problem is that when we focus on something too much we tend to forget the other, and we ended crippled. In other words, focus is limiting. Ans so what must we do?

AMA Test

AMA is a self-assessment test in three key terms:
- Appearance
- Mannerism
- Action
To start this test, first get a a piece of paper to write on and a pencil. Follow the steps below:
- On your paper make a three-column table with the following headings: What do I know? What is wrong with me? What can I do?
- Remember your past experiences, better if same setting as to what you are going to do. Try to describe how you look that time, what you do when you get nervous, and how you acted. I suggest that you also get opinion from other people who have been part of that event. Write all of it on the first column (What do I know?).
- Then ask yourself "What happened with that time?" Did you get what you want? Where you able to persuade them?
- After which, ask yourself "What is wrong with me?"Note: It is easy to see the good when it is good, but hard to admit that there was bad even when there is good. Write all of it on the next column (What's wrong with me?).
- Remember never let your weaknesses take care of you, instead take care of them. And so on the last column, write down all you can think of to make your WRONGS to be RIGHT. I suggest you ask for opinion.
"We need to make our life worth living everyday we wake up. Do not believe you don't have worth. If not because of you, there will be no you at all."
